this restaurant/farmer's market combo is nestled in the middle of the mountains just a 5 minute walk from the Zero-Waste Academy. They have local veggies, fresh bread and ice cream downstairs, and upstairs is an amazing restaurant. this is definitely one of my favorite places to go for a quick meal.🙏🏼 ... See MoreSee Less

I spent the day today working at Cafe Polestar. I've been working at cafes and restaurants since I was about 15. Definitely the most efficient and pristine business I have worked at in a long time. Within 10 minutes of a group of guests leaving, their dishes were cleared, washed, dried and put away. Incredible. What a wonderful day working with some exceptionally thoughtful, detailed, and hard-working people. Cannot wait to go back. // This was the lunch served today. Went for a walk today and enjoyed the fresh air and warm sun. We may not have a 24-hour gym here in Kamikatsu but we have smooth winding roads (perfect for running) and a hidden gem- these stairs!😍 Currently working on getting an online shop ready. We're going to be selling some of the handmade products all made from recycled materials. So excited! ... See MoreSee Less

Sonia HenamDear Steph, Thank you for sharing the beautiful pic. I wanted to know more about the Zero Waste city and Zero Waste Academy. I am Sonia from Delhi, India and it would be great if you can connect me to the nodal person of the Academy, maybe an email id would do. I work in a non profit myself and wanted to know more about the model. I tried searching the website but couldnt found and I dont understand Japanese. Hope you can help me out?1 week ago   ·  1
Claire TanakaHi Steph very cool to see an English voice on this page. Let me know if you're ever in Tokushima City. If you come on a Wednesday you can have potluck lunch with me and my friends at the Otonarisan Library. www.facebook.com/otonari3usernamesakinitorareta/4 days ago
